Blessed Christmas

Dale and I had a pretty quiet Christmas - but very special and feel so very blessed!

We know that God continues to work in our lives - and this time has given us time to reflect on the many blessings.
Dale gave me more fishing supplies --- and a great net for catching those BIG fish!!!

We received some wonderful gifts from family. The sign "We Make You Kindly Welcome" is a special gift from my sister Janet from when we visited the Shaker Village in New Hampshire back in October. I will think of her all the time as I look at this sign - I know exactly where I am putting it in my house.

Dale is looking for the recipes that MaryAnn put in the cookbook she sent us.... nothing better than a church cookbook!!!!

And I already read the book she sent - '90 Minutes in Heaven'!!!

And we have both read "The Shack" since Christmas - and asked our pastor to read it - can't wait to have that conversation!

Buck has been right by our sides since we returned home from Dale's surgery.

We know that God has blessed us over and over again.... and we continue to see Him working in our lives. Dale is recovering wonderfully and had gone through his first round of physical therapy last Tues.

We are enjoying our quiet time home before the new year - getting in lots of reading, relaxing.... and I've even been cooking. Ok, family - stop laughing!!!

We didn't send Christmas cards this year... but do want you to know we hope you had a wonderful and blessed day - and we pray that you know the comfort, peace and security that comes with God's salvation.

Tyler is getting big

Here are a couple new pictures of this sweetie --- boy is he getting big!!!

Its a Total Knee Replacement

December 3rd we headed to Cheyenne.... and on December 4th we went down to Fort Collins for Dale to have his total knee replacement (right knee).

After a very successful surgery.... and a couple set backs and a little extra stay at the hospital... we got to the Cheyenne house on Monday night (Dec 8th).

20 staples - and was pretty swollen (is actually looking better now - have to love those ice machines)!!!

The bruising is normal.... but wow....
And with good meds --- he is doing very well - getting around, doing his exercises and stretches.

Dale has a follow-up appointment on the 15th... and hope to head home to Cody on the Tuesday. That's when the real fun with therapy will begin.

Tyler 1st Birthday (and looking back at his Daddy's)

A bit late.... but here are some pictures from Tyler's first Birthday (was November 1st). He sure is getting big.

We wish we could have been there to celebrate with him... but it sure looks like he enjoyed opening his presents!!

And he seemed to really enjoy the rocking chair that has been passed down through generations in Sam's family.

Good friends shared the event --- in so many ways --- this seems like just yesterday.....

This baby turned 25 on November 18th ----and now a Daddy himself.....
