Trip to Cheyenne

I made a whirlwind trip back to Cheyenne this weekend. Dale and I got a lot done around the house...... so now just need to the right person to look at it and know it is the right house for them.

So this morning, we went to breakfast and I got on the road back to Cody with another truckload of "stuff." We are anxious for when we can both be in Cody!!!

So now back to work tomorrow - and hopefully get to know a bit more about my new job this week.

And of course - need to get back to homework (three more weeks of this class - then three classes to go and DONE)!!!

Meanwhile, Buck is getting use to his new surroundings and the sounds. He isn't getting as spooked as he did at first. Matter of fact, he is laying across my feet now while I type this.

New job....

Well I have started my new job at Northwest College...

Day 1 (yesterday - Sept 2nd) .... well, lets just say my head was SPINNING at the end of the day. I went up to Powell to meet with the team (the other coordinator and specialist from Powell and my new boss - Ronda). And also met with HR....

I met tons of people, was told about lots of other people who will be helpful (names I have already long forgotten - but I know there are people / faculty out there that will be a lot of help and great resources.... ). And was told about lots of projects we have .... (and one of my top projects is working on the culinary training - and for those of you who know my culinary aptitude know how funny that is)...

Yes - I will be involve in all kinds of programs / training - which will keep this new job very interesting.... nothing is off limits.... should be very exciting (when I figure out what I am suppose to be doing).

So today (day 2) - I spent in my office, setting it up and putting in some personal touches (including some moose stuff) .... and going through files, looking at programs that have been successful in the past....

And speaking of my office - first - the building is GORGEOUS - stone walls for the building - beautiful atriums throughout the building - including right outside my training center area.

and my office .... well it looks over a pond that is frequented by deer (saw them yesterday but not today).

There is lobby area, conference room and two training rooms in the area. I also have access to several other business training classrooms.

The new Cody library is being built in the basement of this building (opens early October)- and will be big and beautiful. There will also be a bistro down there. It looks over another pond area, and can see the mountains. Sounds like a great place to sit and read, research.... :-)

So now to figure out what I am suppose to be doing....
