Baby Girl

Mike and Sam found out today that they are expecting a baby girl...

she is expected to make her arrival around February 9th!

We are so excited about the blessing of a new baby girl!!!

And a sister for Tyler!! :-)

I will let you know when they have a name picked out.

Now that was a fun trip!!!!

Snow....

Two weekends ago (10th and 11th) it snowed...

And of course Buck was in the "people house" - not his igloo doggie home.

It was a beautiful winter wonderland with a scary side.....

While I was able to enjoy the view (out my front door) and the weather without any hassles .....

Dale was in Upton, WY (the other side of the Big Horn mountains on a hunting trip with a friend from Oklahoma. He left there that Saturday (11th) to come home... and because of the weather, he couldn't come over the mountains (pulling the camper).... so had to take the long way down to Casper.... over to Shoshone... and got as far as Thermopolis... before he couldn't make it any further that night. Many of the areas have no cell phone service.... so I was a mess worried about where he was and that he was ok....

I was watching the weather radar and road conditions - neither looked good.

Sunday morning, roads still dangerous... he drove home from Thermopolis... and the 80 miles took about 2 1/2 hours.

But after lots of prayer and Dale's very cautious driving... he arrived home safe and sound...

The following weekend was warm.... sunny ---- and we went fly fishing in shirt sleeves.... and raked the leaves that were encouraged to fall the weekend before.

Powell to Cody

About once a week I have been making the trip up to Powell, WY (about 25 north of Cody) to go to the campus for Northwest College (the main campus).

The ride is so pretty that I had to take some pictures. The mountains are snow capped (10,000 feet and up) - and can be so breathtaking.

You can see God's artistry all around. I feel so blessed to be living in such gorgeous surroundings.

Getting Bigger...

So now that Mike and Sam have moved into their own place... their PC is up and running, and pictures are coming.

And tonight after bath time.....

Just makes you want to smile with him!!!

First Snow

Today we had a soft snow throughout the day --- which didn't stick... but was pretty coming down.

Tonight... my deck is covered with snow. We are expecting snow on and off for the next several days. Of course it could be in the 60s right after that .... after all - this is Wyoming.

Buck wasn't being very cooperative in letting me take his picture. Every time I tried to get a good shot, he would look away.

Sister Time

Dale and I just took an excursion to NH to spend time with my sister, Janet and her hubby Terry. It was a wonderful time for visiting, getting caught up with each other and spending some time touring the beautiful countryside of such a pretty state. It was so strange, after being west for the past several years, the feeling with being around trees and not being able to see for 40 miles in any direction.

The trees were just starting to change colors - so we didn't see all the wonder of the leaves changing.

We went to a Shaker Village - which was very interesting. The people who were part of the Shaker family certainly were very innovative and progressive.

And of course - the ocean. Having grown up on the beach - it is always good to walk along the beach and smell the smells and feel the breeze.

And there is nothing like "sister time". These are the events in life that mean so much!!!
